Borough Care wanted to evaluate the food service in their group homes and improve its quality and consistency for their vulnerable client group. Expert advice was also needed on planning, procurement, systems, compliance and training.
FoodSync undertook site appraisals, reviewed systems and procedures and researched industry best practice to future-proof the service against rising food costs and recruitment challenges. In just over two months, FoodSync’s key recommendations had been implemented to deliver a much-improved service.
The FoodSync team now offers ongoing support for the new food service model including the capital refurbishment of eleven commercial kitchens, supply chain improvements, nutrition monitoring, food safety compliance, staff training and management recruitment.
AT A GLANCE
"Working with FoodSync delivered everything we could have asked for and more. They completed a thorough, detailed and considered evaluation of our existing food service and provided a balanced and thought-provoking comparison of that service against a range of alternative options. The level of professionalism, expertise and attention to detail provided at every step gave us the confidence to proceed and implement a wholesale change to a more varied, nutritionally-balanced, high-quality and resilient food service for our vulnerable client group. FoodSync provided support in all aspects of the transition: planning, procurement, systems, compliance, structures, etc. and committed time and energy whenever and wherever it was needed. Ultimately, we now have a successful, improved and thriving service, with consistently excellent feedback. The service from FoodSync was second-to-none: on time; on budget; and exceptionally high quality. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend FoodSync, and would be very happy to work with them again in future."
